Liz has returned to full time painting in her studios in the Borders and explored our views on abstraction from original sketchbook work.

Liz long career in studio pottery, industrial ceramic design and as a University academic gave us an insight into the process from sketch to painting to design and abstraction. Her return to her own work and original monoprints were discussed.
Using our own sketchbooks we loosened up our work with a printing technique.
Liz uses work from her plein air studies of coastal views and harbours in the Borders region to develop her paintings.
